Hello captains,
We are releasing Update 1.1.8 as an experimental version ahead of the stable release. While a few minor issues are still open, we've decided to push this build early because two significant problems have been resolved: the SU5 LOD issue and the non-functional radios.
Beyond these two fixes, 1.1.8 was always intended to be a meaningful step forward — with this cycle we set out to tackle several long-standing issues that have been on our radar for quite some time. Chief among them is the frames degradation over time (#147), a persistent performance problem that gradually impacted the experience over longer sessions. We're happy to report that the fix for this is now ready to merge and will be part of the stable release. Addressing these older, deeper-rooted issues alongside the more recent fixes is what made this update particularly important to us.
Rest assured, the stable 1.1.8 release will include all remaining fixes.
You will find this update in the experimental branch. In order to see it, you have to uninstall the stable version first.
