# E-Jets v1.0 available now

#### Finally!

**The FSS E-Jets have reached version 1.0, and the Early Access period is over.** The update is available now in Aerosoft One and Contrail App.

Many of you have been flying the E-Jets since the first Early Access release. You have shared flight reports, pointed out problems, challenged our decisions and returned after each update to see what had changed. That involvement has shaped the aircraft we are releasing today.

This is a milestone in a project that has taken longer than we originally expected. We want to explain what stands behind the version number rather than ask you to take it on faith.

---

#### What changed along the way

The E-Jets did not reach this point through one large update. During Early Access, we added features, reworked our code structure and changed underlying systems. We also learned where an incremental fix would leave us with the same limitation later. In those areas, we chose to rebuild.

That work is not always obvious in a screenshot. It matters when the aircraft follows a route, captures an altitude, transitions into an approach and behaves consistently from one flight to the next. A better foundation also gives us more control over future changes.

Not every part of this journey has been as smooth or as quick as we wanted. We know that. Version 1.0 is our statement that the core experience has reached the standard we set for ending Early Access; it is not a claim that every issue or every future ambition has been completed. Because it probably never will be.

---

#### Flight guidance: a new autopilot foundation

The most significant change for version 1.0 is the custom autopilot. Rather than continue to work around the limits of the previous MSFS-based approach, we rebuilt the flight guidance foundation so we can control its behavior more directly.

For a pilot, the point is not the architecture itself. It is how the aircraft responds when you select a mode, intercept a route, capture an altitude or fly an approach.

We made this investment because flight guidance touches so much of the E-Jet experience. It is the clearest example of what Early Access allowed us to do: revisit a fundamental decision when we had learned enough to build a stronger solution.

#### Avionics that have evolved

The flight deck has also changed substantially since the original Early Access release. Work on the PFD, IESS and EICAS moved important display logic into our own WASM systems. That gives as a significant performance boost while we can still add new features without any significant additional cost.

Navigation and FMS work is part of the same story. The entire MCDU and flightplan system has been written from scratch with tons of new features like PDC clearance via Hoppie network, ACARS weather uplink, proper performance planning and the good news is: There is more to come!

#### The road ahead

Version 1.0 marks the end of the Early Access label. It means that we are comfortable standing behind the E-Jets as a release product in their defined scope. It does not mean that development stops, or that we will stop listening when something needs attention.

The end of Early Access gives us a stronger starting point for the next work on the E-Jets. These are our priorities after 1.0, in broad order. Some work may run in parallel. We will give dates only when the relevant build has progressed far enough through development and testing.

###### 1. Support and refine version 1.0

Our first priority is to follow how the release performs in everyday flying. We will work through reproducible reports, address regressions and refine the areas that have the greatest effect on a complete flight.

###### 2. Develop the native MSFS 2024 version

With the 1.0 foundation in place, the next major platform step is a native version for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. This involves more than changing the simulator label: the aircraft and its systems need to be adapted and tested against the newer platform. The file structure has to be reworked to cope with the modular simobject approach. And unfortunately this will break all custom liveries. To cover that we will release a tool that allows you to convert old liveries to the new folder structure so you can continue to use them on your own discretion. But we will contact all content creators upfront so they can update their liveries.

#### To everyone who flew with us in Early Access

Your reports and conversations helped us identify the work that mattered most. Some feedback confirmed the direction we were taking; some told us that an existing solution was not good enough. Both were valuable. Thank you for spending your time with the aircraft and helping us improve it.

Early Access is over. Our responsibility to the E-Jets and the people who fly them continues.
