FSExpo 2026 Summary

Hello everyone,

we are back from FSExpo 2026 in Minneapolis with many great impressions, valuable conversations, and a lot of motivation for what comes next.

Events like FSExpo are always something special for us. They give us the chance to meet parts of the community in person, talk to customers, creators, partners, and friends, and also share a more direct look at what we are currently working on.

During our presentation, we showed several projects that are important for the next steps at FSS. Some of them are close to release, some are longer-term projects, and one of them is something very special that we are extremely excited about.

Here is a summary of what we presented at FSExpo 2026.

Tecnam P2012 Traveller v2

The Tecnam P2012 Traveller v2 will be released as a fully revised version exclusively for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

This is not just a simple compatibility update. The aircraft has been reworked in many areas and makes use of several native MSFS 2024 features. This includes walkaround support, career mode compatibility, the native EFB, MSFS 2024 passengers, different cargo types, and a number of workflow improvements that help us build stronger native aircraft for the new simulator platform.

We have also reworked parts of the 3D model, added a completely new sound set, and improved the system simulation. The overall goal is to make the P2012 v2 feel like a proper new version, not just an updated package.

Another important addition is the VIP cabin configuration, which was recently announced by Tecnam Aircraft. This variant will be included for the first time and adds another interesting use case to the aircraft.

One of the strengths of the P2012 v2 will be the number of different configurations. The aircraft is planned to include passenger, cargo, VIP, special mission, and skydiver versions. All of them are being prepared as native Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 versions.

The aircraft is already in beta, and we are getting closer to the finish line.

E-Jets v1.0.0

The E-Jets are closer than ever to reaching the feature-complete version.

Most of the major functionality we wanted for version 1.0.0 is now implemented or in its final phase. The main remaining focus is the completely new autopilot, which is currently undergoing final work and testing.

This new autopilot is a very important step for the E-Jets. It is designed to provide stable lateral and vertical tracking and gives us much more control over the aircraft behavior than the previous implementation.

Once this has been tested properly and we are happy with the results, we will finally have reached this major milestone.

After version 1.0.0, our focus will move to the native migration to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. This update will of course be free for all existing customers.

We know that this project has taken longer than planned. But the current work is not about adding more and more features. It is about making the aircraft stable, reliable, and strong enough for the next chapter.

Boeing 727 Series v2

We are also working on a native Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 version of the Boeing 727 Series.

This update is not only about compatibility. The new version is planned to include many new features and improvements, including walkaround support, external fueling, new textures, sound improvements, and several technical updates.

We are also planning to include the popular ADV variant. This is an important step for the future of the 727 Series, as it gives us a stronger foundation for further development of the aircraft family.

The 727 is a special aircraft for us, and we want the MSFS 2024 version to be a proper step forward. It should not feel like a quick conversion, but like a meaningful upgrade that makes use of the possibilities of the new simulator platform.

There is still work ahead before we can talk about a release window, but development is underway.

Tupolev Tu-154M

As many of you have probably already seen, we are working together with the wonderful Anatolii Iakmets to bring his passion project to life.

The Tupolev Tu-154M is a classic tri-jet and a truly unique aircraft. It is very different from many aircraft commonly seen in the MSFS world, and that is exactly why it fits so well with us.

A year and a half ago, we asked ourselves which aircraft could follow our 727. We were looking for something special, something unusual, and something rarely seen in the simulator world. When we met Anatolii and learned more about the background and passion behind his Tupolev project, we immediately saw the potential.

This aircraft is a magnificent piece of Soviet engineering, and we are very excited to help bring it to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

For anyone who may initially feel intimidated by the unfamiliar cockpit, don’t worry. We want to make the aircraft as accessible as possible without taking away what makes it special.

In addition to multilingual cockpit decals, our well-known Virtual Flight Engineer will also return to support you in operating this legendary aircraft. Just like with our 727, the goal is to make a complex three-crew aircraft approachable and enjoyable for a wide range of users.

The Tu-154M will still take a while. We do not want to rush a project like this. But we are convinced that it will become a fantastic aircraft and a very special addition to our portfolio.
