FSS Status Quo Q4-2025

Dear Community

The end of the year is approaching and we want to give you an update on our current projects.

Boeing 727 Series

We are happy that so many of you are still excited about our 727-200, and we also welcome many new users who discovered this beautiful classic aircraft through the more modern Super27. The addon is now technically very stable, but we continue to make small improvements. A new version 1.1.6 will be released soon.

As some of you already know, we are now working on the 727-100 variant. It is based on our existing code, but it comes with several important changes. The -100 was the first in the 727 family and used different systems in some areas. The cockpit also has a few differences, such as the dashboard shape, yoke, throttles, and warning lights. We try to implement these as accurately as possible without making you wait too long.

Our goal is to present the 727-100 later this year or early next year. Whether we can achieve this depends mainly on the health and wellbeing of our team. They also deserve a peaceful Christmas break. Until then, they are giving their best.

E-Jets Series

Our beta testers are working tirelessly and reporting one issue after another. And we fix them one by one. Luckily, many topics we are dealing with are things even our advisory team of real pilots cannot always answer. These cases are often edge cases, which means that most of the core systems are already working reliably. We just released the VNAV autopilot to our testers, which is another important milestone.

We truly appreciate the constant interest from people wanting to join the beta team. It shows how strong the excitement for the E-Jets still is. As we mentioned in the last update, we plan to give everyone access to an experimental version. This will not be the final version, but the current state that our beta testers also use. The beta team will continue to help us improve the aircraft, and from time to time you will receive a larger experimental update without going through every single development step.

We have a list of mandatory items that must be completed before a public experimental release can happen, like implementing the TCAS and migrating all sound logic to wasm. Just like with the 727, we hope to give you a solid version before the end of the year, but we cannot promise it.

Tecnam Aircrafts

As previously announced, our Tecnam fleet is going through a major update. With new features like the FS24 walkaround mode and an FS24-native EFB for loading and aircraft options, this update will be released only for FS24. This means the FS2020 era comes to an end, and we look forward to everything new that FS24 and its future updates will bring.

The P2012 is already in a very advanced stage and will enter beta early 2026.

Events 2026

After meeting many of you at our large booth at FSWeekend in Lelystad this year and chatting with our developers, we want to let you know that we will not attend Lelystad in 2026. Instead, we will fully focus on finishing the E-Jets and our other projects. We learned that such events take a lot of time and pull many people away from their work. So we are taking a break for one year.

We will, however, attend FSExpo 2026 in Minneapolis with a small but nice booth. And hopefully, we can celebrate the release of the final E-Jets version together. Let’s see what else the next year brings.

We wish you a wonderful and peaceful Christmas season and a great start into the new year with many enjoyable flights.
